A simple way to fix faulty taps is to go for ‘Tap Revivers’ – these are quarter turn ceramic disk valve sets complete with lever handles – ideal for a quick guaranteed repair or for making a tap easier to operate. They are available in 1/2″ and 3/4″ BSP sizes to suit basin, kitchen or bath taps:
